ICT Trash observes six holidays each year. When one falls on a weekday, pickup on that holiday and the remaining routes for the week move one day later. Weekend holidays normally cause no schedule change.
Look for “one day later” beside any weekday holiday that affects collection.
Only pickups scheduled on or after the weekday holiday are delayed. Routes completed before the holiday stay on their normal day.
Place your cart at the curb or roadside by 5:00 AM on your adjusted pickup day. Keep the lid closed and provide clear access around the cart.
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day can affect pickup when they fall on a weekday.
No. Only the holiday’s route and the routes scheduled after it are delayed. A Monday holiday affects the entire week, while a Thursday holiday affects only Thursday and Friday routes.
Weekend holidays normally do not change the pickup schedule. We will post an update if an unusual exception applies.
The notice appears during the calendar week containing the holiday, beginning Sunday and ending Saturday.
